    Job Description

    IHMCL, India’s leading company in the field of Electronic Tolling and other allied works, is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. The COO would be a vital member of the senior management team and shall report directly to the Chief Managing Director (CMD) of the organization. The job responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, following:

    1. Plan, implement and monitor the progress of various projects related to National Electronic Toll Collection Programme, Traffic Survey and other Plaza related activities on ground.
    2. Update and re-engineer organizational operations and processes to offer best services to the highway user.
    3. Lead in identifying new partners, preparation and implementation of marketing strategy, and oversee technological innovation to help the National Electronic Collection Program (NETC program, popular known as “FASTag”) achieve universal coverage across all highways in the country. Major initiatives to be implemented shall include:
      1. Review the hardware specifications of various equipment used at Plazas, and suggest improvements for better vehicle throughput and user experience.
      2. Identify the changes required in program’s backend software and partner with industry experts to revamp the same.
      3. Identify further avenues like petrol pump payments, parking stations payments, electric vehicle recharge, congestion charges, etc. for wider FASTag adoption.
      4. Develop the roadmap and pursue implementation for a barrier free experience along the highway.

The individual will be responsible for managing the project implementation and day-to-day operations related to the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) Program including but not limited to ETC technology deployment, project monitoring, process re-engineering, monitoring ETC transaction SLA adherence of the stakeholders in the system (e.g. Banks, Concessionaires/Toll Plaza Operators, NHAI, NPCI etc.), issue resolution and working on continuously upgrading and streamlining the system.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Should have Bachelors Degree in Engineering and Masters Degree in Business Administration / Engineering from a reputed and recognized University or Institutions

The individual will also be responsible for the identifying, evaluating and managing deployment of new technologies in the field of toll operations and intelligent transportation systems.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Should have Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science / IT from a reputed and recognized University or Institution
    • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT/Technology Operations, design, development, implementation and testing of IT tools / products in one of the following sectors: Finance/Banking, Infrastructure or Transportation
